The I Am Collection

There is a wrong way to choose an affirmation, and almost everyone does it first. You read the list, decide which one sounds most like the person you would like to be considered as, and pick that.

It rarely sticks. An affirmation only works if it is answering something, and the one that answers something is usually not the most flattering option on the list. It is the one that made you pause slightly.

So this is arranged the other way round. Start with where you actually are.

If you are between things

I Am Lucky

A job application out, a move being considered, something waiting on a decision that is not yours to make. Luck is the affirmation for open questions, and it is the right one to wear when the useful thing is to stay hopeful rather than to grip harder.

If you are being kinder to everyone but yourself

I Am Loved

The one people buy for someone else and should probably buy for themselves. Worn as a statement of fact rather than a wish, which is the entire difficulty of it and also the point.

If you are carrying something heavy

I Am Strong

Not for the days you feel capable. For the ones where you are doing it anyway. This is the piece people describe touching during difficult conversations, which is a better recommendation than anything we could write.

I Am Strong Athena Necklace, £160

If a room or a person is taking something from you

I Am Protected

The most quietly practical piece in the collection. Worn short, under a collar, where only you know it is there. Boundaries are easier to hold when something physical is holding them with you.

If your body has been through something

I Am Healthy

Recovery, treatment, or simply the long uninteresting work of looking after yourself properly. Set with amethyst, a stone long associated with clarity and recovery.

If you have stopped noticing the good things

I Am Blessed

Gratitude is difficult to sustain on purpose and easy to sustain by accident, which is what a worn reminder is for. This is the piece for a season that is objectively fine and does not feel it.

Andraya Kenton on a wooden dock by the water wears layered necklaces, including a gold necklace with a green oval pendant featuring a gold number 7 and the text 'I AM LUCKY MALACHITE'. A large inset shows the pendant detail against turquoise water.

“I’ve always believed we create our own luck. The I Am Lucky Malachite is my little reminder to trust the timing, follow the signs, and stay open to a little magic.”

— Andraya Kenton

Still Not Sure

Two questions usually settle it. What would you not want anyone to know you needed. And what would you say to a friend in exactly your situation.

The first question finds the honest answer. The second one makes it bearable to choose.

Your Answer Will Change

It is meant to. An affirmation that fits for two years and then stops fitting has not failed, it has finished. Plenty of people move from Strong to Blessed, or from Protected to Loved, and the sequence ends up reading like a record of what they came through.

Wearing more than one at a time is completely fine. Give each its own chain length so the pieces are not competing, which our layering guide covers.

Making It Actually Work

A pendant on its own does nothing. What makes an affirmation land is repetition attached to a moment, which is why the people who get the most from these pieces have a small habit built around putting them on.

Ours takes under two minutes and is written out in the I Am ritual guide. If you would rather write your own affirmation from scratch, we have a guide to that as well.

Choosing Your I Am FAQs

How do I choose the right affirmation necklace?

Choose based on where you are now rather than where you would like to be seen. The affirmation that makes you pause slightly is usually the one answering a real question, and it will hold your attention far longer than the one that simply sounds impressive.

Can I wear more than one I Am necklace?

Yes. Wear each at a different chain length so both pendants have their own space rather than sitting on top of each other. Many people wear one long term piece alongside one that suits the season they are in.

Should I change my affirmation over time?

If it stops fitting, yes. An affirmation that has done its work has not failed. Many people move through several over the years and keep the earlier pieces as a record.

Do affirmation necklaces actually work?

They work the way any deliberate reminder works, by returning your attention to something you decided mattered. The piece does not create the change. It makes the intention harder to forget on the days you would otherwise let it go.
